About
Selected for the Angoulême International Comics Festival in 2017, *Shangri-La* is the work that brought Mathieu Bablet to prominence; he is now one of the most influential authors in French-language comics. In a future where Earth has become uninhabitable, humans survive in the Tianzhu space station, under the control of a totalitarian, consumerist society. Living alongside them are the Animoids, creatures designed to serve them.
Adapted by Christelle Derré, this comic book comes to life in an immersive comic-film concert where images unfold in space, characters are brought to life on stage, and speech bubbles give way to voices, projected text, and music. Composed by Vincent Girault for guitar, synthesizers, and drums, the soundtrack oscillates between electro, rock, and science fiction, offering a captivating sensory experience at the heart of this dystopian universe.
The activity takes place in all weather conditions, unless safety is compromised
