About
For its 25th edition, the La Virée Trad Festival offers an immersion in Quebec’s living heritage in Carleton-sur-Mer. About fifteen traditional music, song, and dance performances will take place on several stages, accompanied by a craft market featuring some fifty producers and artisans—renowned as the largest public market in the Gaspé Peninsula. Also on the program: jig, violin, guitar, and basket-weaving workshops; a circus school; dance parties; lectures; jam sessions; and a youth program. Each year, the event welcomes more than 7,000 visitors who come to celebrate traditional Quebec culture by the sea at Chaleur Bay.
