About

The Franklin Electric reflects emotions on a canvas woven from indie rock, folk, and alternative music. Founded and led by Jon Matte, the Montreal-based collective stands out by transforming experiences into anthems. Since its debut in 2014 with its first album, This Is How I Let You Down, The Franklin Electric
has played over 400 shows in a dozen countries, sharing the stage with a multitude of artists including Mumford & Sons, Ben Howard, Edward Sharpe, and City And Color. Along the way, the album Blue Ceilings (2017) marked an important milestone in the collective's career. Not only did this opus give birth to such essentials as I Know the Feeling and Someone Just Like You, but it also led to a nomination at the 2018 Juno Awards in Vancouver in the "Breakthrough Group of the Year" category. On this occasion, Jon Matte found an inexhaustible source of inspiration in the mountains and landscapes of British Columbia to write the songs that would appear on the EP In Your Head, released in the summer of 2019. A prolific singer-songwriter, he followed up in 2020 with the release of the EPs In Your Heart and Never Look Back, before returning with an album in the fall of 2021, This Time I See It.

Opening act to be announced shortly.
