Team Salsa Sextet delivers an irresistible groove, straight from the streets of Havana, with a deliberate detour through New York’s Latino neighborhood. Chronicling exile, celebration, and cultural resistance, their “salsa del barrio”—rich and authentic, vibrant and indomitable—empowers Afro-descendant sounds by infusing them with a healthy dose of improvisation and swing. Boiling percussion, brass that shapes the rhythm: every track is an invitation to dance without restraint. It’s feverish; it’s contagious.
