About
When the drums call, the crowd answers. A ceremonial ode to Vodoun culture (FIP, 2024), BIM’s music gives rise to a powerful dialogue between the polyrhythms of Dahomey—from sakpata to egoungoun—Afro-funk pop-rock, and hip-hop stripped back to its roots. With powerful backing vocals, ritual percussion, sharp guitars, and an incisive flow, the collective conveys—without resorting to clichés or folklore—a modern and festive vision of Beninese culture. Made for the stage and acclaimed as far as Carnegie Hall at the invitation of Angélique Kidjo, BIM will present a special show for the 40th anniversary of Nuits d’Afrique, featuring ecstatic covers of African classics from the 1970s to the present day.
The activity takes place in all weather conditions, unless safety is compromised
