Founded in 2021 under the musical direction of Julio de Armas and Alexei Ramos Céspedes, the Septeto de Montréal brings the best of Cuban music to the heart of the city. Salsa, son, guaracha, bolero—these seven musicians, an integral part of the Montreal scene, bring their Caribbean groove to life with glamour and flamboyance. Their sharp brass, intense percussion, and infectious good humor make you irresistibly want to dance. As both custodians of tradition and ambassadors of a living culture, they have shared the stage with renowned artists such as Isaac Delgado and Haila María Mompié, and have performed at iconic venues like the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
