About
In a neighborhood restaurant and bar, the character talks about suicide—with humor and without mincing words—drawing on his brother’s suicide, which occurred fifteen years earlier. He’s trying to understand why.
In a spirit of shared understanding with the audience, he shares his thoughts, moving from anger to bewilderment to guilt, as if following a predetermined path.
As he tells his brother’s story, he finds himself revealing his own. A story defined by the suicide of this figure who was his hero. His relationships with his parents, with his friends, even with religion—he realizes that since the passing of his partner, his entire life has been devoted to picking up the pieces, to living for two. As the sole surviving member of a duo, he observes that for the past fifteen years, he has forced himself to “perform” life in his brother’s honor—to the point of turning it into a play.
The activity takes place in all weather conditions, unless safety is compromised
