About

Seven young artists are taking their first professional steps on stage, but these steps lead them down divergent paths. True to form, the Danses Buissonnières jury has curated a diverse evening where perspectives multiply and dance expresses itself with complete freedom. Haitian migration, an outlet for oppressive experiences, artificial intelligence, the deconstruction of gender, and the social conditioning of our movements serve in turn as inspiration to propel choreographic exploration. These five works were selected from 39 by a jury composed of artists Sarah Elola, Nasim Lootij, Lucy M. May, Mukoma-K. J. Style Nshinga, and Charo Foo Tai Wei. The talent of these emerging artists promises a powerful evening!
