The Centre for Demonstrations in Physical Sciences (CDSP) at Cégep Garneau invites you to attend the 5th science cabaret of the 2025–2026 academic year on April 14 at 7 p.m. This free evening of scientific culture, open to everyone, is titled “The Principle of 1,000 Generations” and will be hosted by Laurie Rousseau-Nepton, an astronomer and the first Indigenous Canadian woman to earn a Ph.D. in astrophysics.
Summary of the Lecture
During this presentation, Laurie Rousseau-Nepton will share her journey in the field of astronomical instrumentation, highlighting recent discoveries as well as knowledge from the distant past, when our ancestors were already making major advances in astronomy using early instruments.
