As the song goes: Grease is an era, a place, a movement. The era of Grease is the 1950s; the place is any high school in North America; the movement is the unique music of the era: an energetic blend of shoo-bop and rock ’n’ roll. This movement is also the exhilarating frenzy of the jive dance. This production is in its original version, enriched with iconic songs created for the 1978 cult film, including “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and, of course, the title track, “Grease.” With a cast blending seasoned artists and new talent, accompanied by an outstanding musical ensemble, Grease tells the story of a group of teenagers who face the challenges of adolescence with energy and passion.
