Temporary Exhibition: The Basque Country—Archives of a History
This temporary exhibition invites visitors to look beyond tourist clichés and explore the reality of life in the Basque Country, a region divided between France and Spain. Located in the French part of the Basque Country, the Northern Basque Country has a rich and complex history, often overshadowed by better-known narratives. Through rare archival documents, old photographs, and moving personal accounts, the exhibition tells the story of the people who have shaped this land. How did they preserve their heritage and language in the face of historical upheavals? This exhibition invites visitors to travel back in time, explore rarely discussed topics, and understand how a community has managed to keep its culture and territory alive. This group exhibition is an initiative by Coline Sénac. Visit the Îlot des Palais at 8 rue Vallière.
