About
To kick off their 60th season, the Amis de l’orgue de Québec welcome Vincent Dubois, titular organist of the main organ at Notre-Dame de Paris. A leading figure on the international scene, he will present an exceptional program consisting half of works for solo organ and half of duets with the virtuoso classical accordionist Marie-Andrée Joerger.
This concert will take place at the Church of the Canadian Martyrs, the founding venue of the Amis de l’orgue de Québec, which houses an instrument of remarkable historical significance: the first Casavant neoclassical organ in eastern Quebec. Over the past 60 years, this Opus 2557 has been played by masters such as Marcel Dupré, Anton Heiller, Marie-Claire Alain, Pierre Cochereau, Michel Chapuis, André Isoir, Olivier Latry, and many others. Vincent Dubois’s performance will continue the tradition of this long line of exceptional artists who have left their mark on the history of the organ in Quebec City.
Concert presented on a large screen, with the performer at the console of the main organ
