About
Oktoecho project led by Katia Makdissi-Warren, combining concerts and conferences on major environmental issues. This event offers a dialogue between musical performances inspired by nature and enriching discussions about lichens with biologist and lichenologist Jean Gagnon. Symbiosis: algae and fungi join forces to form a single organism. Sensitive to pollution, lichens are excellent indicators of air quality. The lecture will be enriched by the formidable musicians of Oktoecho: Lydia Etok (Inuit throat singing), Michel Dubeau (flutes), Bertil Schulrabe (percussion), and Katia Makdissi-Warren (crystal bowls). Hosted by Justin Bernard.
The activity takes place in all weather conditions, unless safety is compromised
