The program highlights the instrument’s lyrical richness, which is by turns melodious, virtuosic, and deeply introspective. From pieces steeped in lyricism to virtuosic flourishes and warm tones, each work highlights a distinct facet of the instrument. Combining depth, brilliance, and refinement, the program unfolds a palette of contrasting emotions, in which the cello becomes a true narrator of feelings. Stéphane Tétreault will be accompanied by pianist Cholé Dumoulin.
