premiere of a trio specially composed by the talented Quebec composer Christian Pacaud, written specifically for the Arquemuse Trio. This will be followed by Reinhold Glière's moving Seven Pieces for Violin and Cello, a suite of seven short and contrasting pieces, each exploring a unique atmosphere and musical idea – a little-known gem waiting to be discovered. The concert will culminate with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's grandiose Piano Trio, a powerful and virtuosic work that brilliantly highlights the expressive richness of the three instruments.
