About
A dance team made up of teenage girls and one boy is ready to do whatever it takes to win the trophy at a prestigious competition in Tampa Bay, Florida. Pat, a strict teacher, presents the judges with an "acro-lyrical" choreography based on Gandhi's legacy. Who will he choose to play the title role? And what price will the chosen person have to pay? Everyone wants to reach the top... The closer the big day gets, the more the tension rises.
In this crazy comedy-drama, the feverish world of adolescence swirls around: dreams of greatness, discovery of one's body and the power it wields over others, exalted and contradictory feelings of invincibility and vulnerability, pain and pleasure. Through choruses, solos, and locker room conversations, the author invites us to follow the tribulations of these young dance enthusiasts, while keenly exploring feminine power, the beauty and ferocity of puberty, and rivalries in friendship.
