About
Developed and presented by the Caravansérail Artists’ Centre (Rimouski), La petite caravane is an introductory program to visual arts and contemporary art designed for children ages 4 to 6. About a dozen times throughout the year, our program facilitators Florence Vinet and Iseaube Myette Bergeron visited 19 kindergarten classes in the Rimouski area to lead workshops.
This year, Caravansérail was able to expand the La petite caravane program to 19 kindergarten classes, thanks to financial support from the Canada Post Community Foundation in addition to recurring funding from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec. Thus, the exhibition concluding this sixth edition of the program showcases the works of more than 300 students. Taking the form of a strange and lush garden, Fleurir sourire features the creations the children produced under the inspiration of artists Jiwan Larouche, Alissa Bilodeau, Marven Clerveau, and Élise Provencher
The activity takes place in all weather conditions, unless safety is compromised
